Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys: Betting lines, how to watch, storylines, live stream and more

PHILADELPHIA — It’s been a while, but the Philadelphia Eagles are back in the United States and back at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles will renew their NFC East rivalry with the Dallas Cowboyson Sunday night in a game that figures to be a tonesetter for the second half of the season. The Eagles are 4-4 after the bye, and they face a bit of an uphill climb in their bid to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

The clearest path to the playoffs seems to be through the division. So that adds a little extra importance to this matchup, especially given that the Eagles have five divisional matchups sprinkled in their final eight games (not to mention road games against the top two teams in the NFC, the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints).

So here’s everything you need to know for tonight’s game.

Start Time: Sunday, Dec. 9, at 4:25 p.m. ET TV Channel: FOX

With Alex Smith going down with a season-ending injury, the East now is wide open, and the Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles all are vying for the divisional crown. The latter two will meet Sunday evening in Dallas in a tilt that could result in a tie atop the division. The Cowboys enter the game with a 7-5 record, while Philly owns a 6-6 marker so far.

Dallas will be playing at home against Philadelphia at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Dallas have to be feeling especially confident now that the spread is in their favor.

Dallas might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. They skirted past New Orleans 13-10. Ezekiel Elliott was the offensive standout of the game for Dallas, as he picked up 76 yards on the ground on 23 carries and snatched 1 receiving TD. Elliott has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia didn’t have too much trouble with Washington last Monday as they won 28-13. The success made it back-to-back wins for Philadelphia.

The Cowboys (7-5) posted their biggest win of the season when they stifled the high-scoring New Orleans Saints in their 13-10 win. The defense performed at a high level, leaving some people to say the team is capable of making a deep run in the playoffs. Quarterback Dak Prescott has completed 75 percent of his passes while throwing fo r745 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions during the winning streak.

The Eagles (6-6) were in danger of falling out of the playoff race before they defeated Washington in Week 13. They would take over first place on account of the division-record tiebreaker with a win over the Cowboys. Wide receiver Golden Tate produced his best game since arriving via trade – Tate caught seven passes for 85 yards and a touchdown against Washington.

Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State

NORMAN, Okla. — The sixth-ranked Sooners return home to host the Oklahoma State Cowboys Saturday afternoon at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. They’re a 21-point favorite after the line opened up at 17.5 earlier in the week. This marks the 113th overall Bedlam matchup, with OU owning a commanding 87-18-7 advantage in the all-time series. That includes 41-9-2 edge in Norman.

Here’s a look at how to watch Saturday’s Sooners game vs. the Cowboys.

When: Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT

TV: ABC (national)

Online: WatchESPN

Radio: 107.7 The Franchise KRXO-FM

ABC, of course, will broadcast the game nationally. The broadcast team consists of Steve Levy on play-by-play, Brian Griese as analyst and Todd McShay as the sideline reporter. As for the radio call, as always Voice of the Sooners Toby Rowland will be bringing it to you, with Merv Johnson, Teddy Lehman and Gabe Ikard all working as analysts and Chris Plank serving as the sideline reporter.

The Sooners moved up one spot to No. 6 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, where they’re just behind No. 5 Georgia and No. 4 Michigan. They’re also in that same spot in the Associated Press and Amway Coaches Polls entering game two of November, a month in which they’ve won 14 straight.

Quarterback Kyler Murray shook off a sluggish start last week to become the first player in school history to throw for at least 300 yards and run for at least 100 in a single-game. OU defeated Texas Tech 51-46, making for just the second time in the last 10 seasons it’s scored at least 50 points in three straight games. It did so in four consecutive contests back in 2015 and has a chance to equal that feat in Bedlam.

Running back Trey Sermon, meanwhile, battered and bruised the Tech defense for 206 yards and three scores on 26 carries. Wide receiver Lee Morris added a pair of touchdown catches while amassing 101 yards on four receptions.

“I think we might have had a 38 maybe with one of our guys at ECU, I think actually against North Carolina the first year that we beat them there. But that’s definitely the highest I’ve had,” said head coach Lincoln Riley as to how heavy a load Sermon could carry. “So I would always hope that we would have enough backs that we wouldn’t, even if we ran it and had that many opportunities, that we’d be able to spread it out. But you never know.”

Defensively, the Sooners gave up 473 yards of total offense, but perhaps the game’s biggest play came on that side of the ball. Safety Robert Barnes intercepted and returned a two-point conversion for two points. That made it 44-40, and they held on for the victory. Strength coach Bennie Wylie, too, has been instrumental in Barnes’ progress.

“Tailored the program to him to address those, address the areas that he’s had issues,” Riley said. “Not that he didn’t do the other things our guys did—for the most part he was able to. But Bennie does a good job being really specific with these guys and not being too hard headed with them and understanding that some guys need different things to train or some guys have different trouble points that you’ve got to be able to addres. And so he’s done that. Robert’s really responded well to it, and he’s proven that if we can keep him on the field, he’s going to keep getting better and better. So Bennie’s certainly had a big hand in it.”

Auburn vs Georgia

Georgia vs Auburn : Georgia is one of the highest-scoring teams in the country – and it doesn’t just rely on touchdowns. The Bulldogs have the second-most field goals (15) of any team ranked in the top 25 in points per game, and the second-most field goals (11) of any team in the top 20 in red zone efficiency.

Georgia vs Auburn Live Football

Auburn has done well to limit teams inside their own 20-yard line, holding opponents to a paltry eight touchdowns in 27 red zone trips – but the Tigers have also given up 14 field goals in that range, more than any other team in the country. It’s a longshot play, but we like Georgia to open the scoring with three points.

If past history is any indication, the Bulldogs are well-positioned to break this one open in the second quarter. Georgia is averaging a whopping 17.3 second-quarter points per game at home against FBS opponents in 2018, the fifth-best home scoring rate in the country. On the flip side, only 11 Division I schools average fewer second-quarter points on the road vs. FBS foes than the Tigers (3.0). Even if Auburn manages to keep this one close in the first quarter, there’s a good chance that Georgia pulls away prior to the halftime break, making it a solid choice to cover the first-half spread.

Oddsmakers believe the Bulldogs are an even-money bet to get to the 35-point mark, setting their team total at 34.5. And yet, while bettors could opt for the -120 payout on the over, there’s an even better profit path if you believe Georgia will go over the number. And there’s plenty of evidence to suggest the Bulldogs have a chance: they’re averaging nearly 43 points per game at home against Division I foes, and have broken the 35-point barrier in five of their past seven conference games. Take Georgia to win the race to 35 points; if they get there, they’ll almost certainly do it before Auburn does.

Under trends abound between these teams, both in their head-to-head matchup and in general. Auburn has cashed the under 19 times with one push in its previous 27 games against teams with winning records, and is 10-3 to the under in its past 13 games overall. Georgia does boast some strong recent over trends – having gone 6-1-1 ATS against teams over .500 – but is a sparkling 19-6-1 in favor of the under in its previous 26 games at Sanford Stadium. The teams have also gone under in four of their last five meetings, so we recommend going below the number in this one.

Georgia is looking to stake its claim to a CFP spot – and to do that, it’ll need a convincing win. Fortunately for Bulldogs fans and bettors, this team has been a traditionally strong cover option against elite opponents, having gone 8-2 ATS in its previous 10 games against teams above .500 while covering six of their past seven home contests vs. teams with winning home records. Contrast that with Auburn, which has gone just 2-6 ATS in its last eight meetings with teams above .500, and it’s clear that the Bulldogs are the superior cover option in what is a must-win game for them.

Undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is one of the fastest-rising stars in all of boxing, and on Saturday in the United Kingdom, he will get another chance to show the world that there are big things ahead for him in 2019. Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs) will put his WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA cruiserweight titles all on the line when he faces off with the man he called out following his World Boxing Super Series victory where he claimed the WBA and IBF titles, Tony Bellew. Bellew (30-2-1, 20 KOs) is a former WBC cruiserweight titleholder himself, so he presents a formidable challenge to the surging champion Usyk.

This bout carries more than just the opportunity to retain his titles for Usyk, however. In a recent interview, Usyk confirmed that he has his sights firmly set on moving to the heavyweight ranks following a predicted victory on Saturday so he can challenge Anthony Joshua for his heavyweight titles. So, needless to say, a solid performance from Usyk on Saturday against Bellew would send a striking message to Joshua and the rest of the heavyweight division as we enter next year.

Below is all the info you need to catch the undisputed cruiserweight title bout on Saturday.

The No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (9-0) have a date set with the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game. Alabama, not including next week’s game against the Citadel, still has two difficult challenges remaining this season.

The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS. If you don’t have cable or can’t get to a TV, you can still watch a live stream of the game (or DVR it) on your computer, phone or streaming device by signing up for one of the following cable-free, live-TV streaming services:

Amazon Prime

If you have Amazon Prime or start a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime, you can watch all CBS content (both live and on-demand) via the CBS Amazon Channel, which also comes with a 7-day free trial.

Once you’re signed up for both Amazon Prime and the CBS channel, you can then watch a live stream of the game on your computer via the Amazon website, or you can watch on your phone, tablet or streaming device via the Amazon Video app.

If you can’t watch live, “Hulu with Live TV” also comes with 50 hours of Cloud DVR storage (with the ability to upgrade to “Enhanced Cloud DVR,” which gives you 200 hours of DVR space and the ability to fast forward through commercials).

Mississippi State, much like LSU, has talent on defense, specifically up front. The Bulldogs allow only 278.7 total yards per game, which is fewer than the Crimson Tide’s 295.4. Saban acknowledged this to reporters this week, and emphasized Alabama’s ability to be able to move around and combat the opponent’s talent.

Matchup to Watch: Tagovailoa finally cracked last week, tossing his first interception of the season against a LSU secondary rich in future NFL starters. Despite the pick, he still finished with 295 yards and two touchdowns, leading key drives late in the first half and in the third quarter which effectively put the game out of reach. A typical Tagovailoa will spell doom for the Bulldogs early, which means not only do they have to make him move, but sack him as well.

Still, Tagovailoa remains the overwhelming Heisman Trophy favorite, although Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray is quickly gaining some ground.
